My Story
I’ve spent my life around horses—riding, training, and working with them in nearly every way imaginable. From learning to ride my first pony at my childhood home in Pennsylvania, to starting colts in my early teens, into a 30-plus-year career as a farrier, I’ve built my knowledge through hands-on experience.

Venturing west in 1985 to pursue my dream of working with horses, I attended South Dakota State University and began a professional rodeo career as a bronc rider, which lasted about a decade. Alongside rodeo, I worked on ranches and feedlots, always finding myself in the role of “the horse guy.”
Over the years, I’ve started upwards of 1,200 colts, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that the best way to help horses is to help people understand them better. I’ve refined my techniques through trial and experience—sometimes learning the hard way—and now my mission is to pass those lessons on to others.

For experienced riders, that means bridging the gap between technical skill and intuitive horsemanship. Whether it’s refining feel, improving timing, or addressing challenges with a horse’s mindset, I aim to help riders develop a deeper, more effective partnership. My goal is to take what I’ve learned and make life better—for both horses and the horsemen who ride them.
